Responding to Charges of Employment Discrimination

Starts:  Sep 9, 2019 08:00 (ET)
Ends:  Oct 18, 2019 17:00 (ET)

This online course is designed for employer representatives who have direct responsibility for investigating and responding to charges of unlawful harassment, discrimination, or retaliation filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) or state or local fair employment practices agencies.

Using self-paced online modules, weekly one-hour web sessions, video clips, and online discussion forums, the course focuses on practical and proven steps for managing all phases of the charge investigation process, from initial receipt and response through final resolution or referral of the case to litigation.

An experienced CWC facilitator moderates the course, which allows participants to work at their own pace for segments of the course.  The moderator and participants meet via Web Workshops at designated times throughout the course to review core ideas, discuss additional information, and participate in activities to reinforce key skills. An orientation workshop at the start of the course introduces participants to the learning platform, addresses how to use it, establishes a timeline for completion of modules and activities, and encourages participants to collaborate with one another.
