I left college with a degree in Business & Computer Education, confident that I would retire from a high school classroom. I had no clue that the changing world and my passion for learning would lead me to Human Resources. I often find myself in the classroom again, whether online or in a room with 100 people. I am constantly inspired to help others grow using technology and strategic thinking.
Over the years, I have moved into leadership roles focused on talent development, process improvement, and HR consulting. In these consultative roles, I have been able to empower managers, clients, and peers to achieve success by seeking understanding and considering workforce analytics.
As I have focused more on diversity and inclusion in a personal and professional capacity, it has become clear that my path in Human Resources is just beginning. My desire to evolve in Human Capital technology, global HR practices, and equity strategies is what keeps me motivated. I look forward to where it will lead me and the impact I will have on the minds I am lucky enough to experience.
I currently sit on the non-profit board for Big Brothers Big Sisters in Central Illinois, Illinois Women In Leadership, and I am the Chairperson for the Building Board Diversity Initiative in Springfield, IL.
